SFIA BAB Terminal 1 Project - San Francisco, CA

This $2.5 billion renovation project includes redeveloping Terminal 1 (T1), one of its oldest terminals, to meet modern airport standards. When completed in 2021, T1 is anticipated, at minimum, to receive an environmental LEED® Gold certification. The Terminal 1 project is comprised of several elements, including an Interim Boarding Area B (IBAB); Terminal 1 Center (T1C), and a new Boarding Area B (BAB). Olivier, Inc. was selected by the Austin Webcor Joint Venture team to provide document control services.

Olivier is providing document controls for the Austin-Webcor, JV., is responsible for organizing and managing (filing, indexing, scanning, processing, retrieving) documents including, but not limited to: RFI’s, submittals, transmittals, correspondence, and drawings using the Aconex database and Universal Filing Structure (UFS). The Document Control Specialist developed a document management plan to safeguard document integrity and leads coordination of documents for retention and dissemination. Documents are controlled and maintained in a manner that allows easy retrieval; ensures issuance of appropriate revisions; adherence to management and retention protocols; and ensures accuracy and quality.

The project will create a new Boarding Area B, as well as a new Terminal 1 Center. It includes a new consolidated security checkpoint and baggage handling system. The new Boarding Area will result in 24 gates, six of which can accommodate international arrivals, by way of a secure connector into the customs facility.
